The Brief

A tub that hadn't been used in a decade.

Naomi's primary ensuite still had the builder-grade fibreglass tub-shower combo from the home's original 1998 construction, cracked grout, and a single vanity for two people getting ready every morning. She wanted a curbless shower she could age into, heated floors for the Toronto winters, and enough storage that the counter could stay clear.

We rebuilt the room down to the joists to correct the waterproofing, added a linear drain and curbless entry, and specced a large-format grey stone tile that reads as one continuous surface floor to ceiling. A floating oak vanity with a single integrated basin and a backlit mirror finish the room without crowding it.

“I didn't think a bathroom could change how I start my day. This one does.”
